Holds a monthly (third Tuesday) luncheon forum created to stimulate networking among business founders and managers, equity investors and lenders, executives seeking new positions, professionals whose services are helpful to company managers and founders, and representatives of major corporations. The main speaker is an angel investor, a partner in a venture capital firm, or a successful entrepreneur. Three entrepreneurs have five minutes each to explain their company’s need for capital. During lunch, 125 to 150 attendees mingle, exchange information, and introduce themselves and their businesses to the group. Each year VANJ produces two all day meetings that attract 300 to lunch and 500 to the exhibits: the May Entrepreneurs Expo and in September the Incubator Showcase. VANJ also sponsors the Private Investors Network, LLC a network of New Jersey angel investors. www.vanj.com
The
New Jersey Entrepreneurs Forum - NJEF
The
premier meeting place for entrepreneurs, investors and service providers in the
state of New Jersey. The
New Jersey Entrepreneurs Forum is a non-profit corporation supported by a group
of commercial sponsors who wish to assist young New Jersey companies. The Forum
meets monthly for the purpose of educating and assisting entrepreneurs. The
format typically includes a business case presentation in which an entrepreneur
presents his/her business plan for review by the assembled forum members, and
experts in the field of endeavor. NJEF also sponsors "Entrepreneurs
University," a series of intensive training sessions to prepare
entrepreneurs for the business of starting and managing a technology company.
Topical discussions on subjects of general interest to entrepreneurs are also
featured, as is an eight minute presentation in which individuals give a short
presentation of their product or service. Meetings are usually held at 6:30 p.m.
on the second Thursday of the month at McAtters in Somerset, NJ. www.njef.org
