MANKATO MANUFACTURING INCUBATOR
This past Minnesota legislative session, the legislature recognized that some of
the fastest expanding economic sectors in the world are technology-related. Telecommunications,
software development, medical technology, optoelectronics and digital imaging
are a few of the developing technologies. The iron age is out and high tech is
in. Thus, the Minnesota Legislature awarded $4.5 million to Mankato to build the
Technology Plus Center. The mission of Technology Plus is to
bring education, community and business together in a center to address rapidly
changing technology. Planning is underway with collaborating partners meeting
regularly. The Technology Plus facility is scheduled to be built by
2000.
Input from our residents, businesses and education community is essential in
